2015 Master of Business Administration
"Surround yourself with the dreamers and the doers, the believers and the thinkers, but most of all surround yourself with those who see the greatness in you, even when you don't see it yourself" - Edmund Lee

I grew up in Southern California, but I have always felt a strong connection to the nature in Northern California. This desire, along with my passion for sustainable chemistry, brought me up to Humboldt State University for my undergraduate career. During this time, I was able to partake in a variety of microbiological and biochemical research. I graduated in 2014 with a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry and quickly moved into Humboldt State University's Masters in Business Administration (MBA) program, with a focus on strategic sustainability. Throughout this program I was involved with many projects and presentations that combined principles of science with business. These include creating a the design for cluster based economy in Humboldt County, working on the Marine Science Laboratory's strategic business plan, running housing market data analysis in collaboration with the Humboldt Association of Realtors, and presenting the findings of each project. I was also given the opportunity to participate in an internship with my employer, North Coast Laboratories; who allowed me to develop their strategic business plan for 2016. From this experience, I gained valuable insights into entrepreneurship and many of the inner workings of the laboratory which I had never observed.  I graduated from the MBA program after the Summer of 2015 and remained a part of North Coast Laboratories as the Quality Assurance Manager in Arcata.
