MBA Admission Requirements

The following are general requirements for entry into the MBA program:

1. Submit the online application and application fee

2. Submit official transcripts.  Note: Transcripts from HSU do not need to be submitted

3. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited U.S. institution or the equivalent from a foreign institution

         (e.g., AACSB, ICABE, or ACBSP accredited program)

4. One of two possible pathways:

A. Grade point average exceeding 3.25 ("A" = 4.00) on all undergraduate work and a 3.00 GPA or better on any graduate work already completed*

                                                      OR
B. Five or more years of professional work experience in a business setting with minimum undergraduate GPA exceeding 2.75*

5. Foundation courses in accounting, economics, finance and statistics.

*NOTE: If applicants do not meet the GPA or work experience requirement, the applicant’s undergraduate GPA must exceed 2.75 and GMAT or GRE test scores must be submitted.  

Students must meet admission requirements as prescribed by Humboldt State University.

Final admission decisions will be made by the MBA Graduate Program Coordinator.
