Nine teams from five different colleges competed in the Future Four and More competition at Sacramento State on April 5th.  Future Four and More is a collaboration between Sac State, Cal Poly Humboldt, Chico State, and local community colleges.  Dr. Nancy Vizenor and other Humboldt affiliated partners played an instrumental role in preparing the students for this event. Set up similar to the television show Shark Tank teams from the different colleges pitched their ideas to a panel of judges, which included possible investors (venture capitalists, former CEOs, and other business leaders).  While the Humboldt teams faced stiff competition, their proposals clearly stood apart.  Judges noted the plans were “the most complete,” “innovative,” and “solving a significant problem.”

Congratulations to our students and everyone who supported them through the process!  We are all so proud of your accomplishment.
